Important News | The Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training of Madagascar

On 16 September 2026, the grand online signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation was solemnly held between the Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association, SNAEIA and the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training of Madagascar. Chen Lu, Secretary-General of SNAEIA, H.E. Andriamanpandry Todisoa Manampy, Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training of Madagascar, and Fanantenana Jeannie Oliva, Project Overall Coordinator, among others, attended the signing ceremony. 

At the ceremony, Ms. Oliva provided a detailed introduction to the objectives and purposes of the Memorandum of Understanding as well as the areas of cooperation. In her speech, Chen Lu stated that SNAEIA attaches great importance to its collaboration with the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training of Madagascar. It will fully leverage the advantages of the International Education Innovation Cooperation Network to promote practical cooperation between the two sides, thereby assisting Madagascar in enhancing the quality and efficiency of vocational education and driving its transformation and upgrading.

Mr.Manampy stated that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the two sides is an important step in expanding and deepening China-Madagascar vocational education cooperation, advancing the process of high-quality development, helping to improve the quality of vocational education and training, enhance the employability of young people, and cultivate and train high-quality technical and skilled personnel for Madagascar.

According to the relevant clauses of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation, the two parties will focus on practical cooperation in areas such as joint training programs, exchanges and visits between teachers and students, joint research of science and technology, output of vocational education standard professional standards, vocational training, international skill competitions, and collaboration on the China-Africa MOOC platform. The professional directions include but are not limited to agriculture, new energy, artificial intelligence, tourism, international trade, and international affairs.

This signing ceremony aims to further deepen the two sides’ cooperation in educational innovation and forge a long‑term and stable collaborative bond. SNAEIA will give full play to its strengths as a platform, pool multi‑party resources, broaden avenues for cooperation, and foster more practical exchanges between the two sides in the field of vocational education. Both sides reach a consensus to jointly develop a new model of high‑quality cooperation, setting a benchmark for the innovative development of vocational education cooperation between China and Madagascar as well as China‑Africa vocational education collaboration at large.
