On June 14, 2023, Yao Guangye, the president of Beijing Polytechnic, along with Ma Jun, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Wang Donglin, Dean of the Basic Education College, and Liu Ying, Deputy Director of the Foreign Language Teaching Office of the Basic Education College, arrived in Morocco. They, along with Mr. Abdellatif Mazouz, Vice President of the Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association, and Chen Lu, the Secretary-General, were invited to visit the EMBASSY OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA IN THE KINGDOM OF MOROCCO, Association of Chinese Enterprises in Morocco, and The Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion of the Kingdom of Morocco. (OFPPT). Additionally, they visited multiple institutions to engage in in-depth discussions on educational exchanges and cooperation.
On June 15, the delegation proceeded to the first destination of their visit, University International de Casablanca. The President of University International de Casablanca warmly welcomed the delegation and engaged in discussions with the leadership of Beijing Polytechnic regarding sustainable cooperation plans in undergraduate and master's programs such as hotel management and nursing. The two institutions reached a high level of consensus during the meeting.
Subsequently, the delegation from Beijing Polytechnic and the association visited the Higher Business School, Under Hassan II University, Casablanca. They engaged in in-depth discussions about future collaboration plans for business administration, auditing, marketing communication, and finance programs offered by the school. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed during the visit.

On the afternoon of June 15, the delegation from Beijing Polytechnic and the association was invited to visit the OFPPT. They engaged in in-depth discussions with OFPPT representatives regarding the future prospects of vocational education, vocational skills training standards under the industry-education integration model, the professional talent needs of Moroccan Chinese enterprises, and local enterprise talent requirements.
A spokesperson from OFPPT expressed the hope for deep cooperation with Beijing Polytechnic in the future, aiming to establish a close partnership and actively carry out projects related to vocational education to cultivate versatile talents. Yao Guangye, the president of Beijing Polytechnic, stated that it was an honor for the college to collaborate with OFPPT. He expressed great pleasure in gaining the trust of the Moroccan government department. In the future, the college intends to actively cooperate with Morocco under various policies such as " The Belt and Road" initiative and the "High-level Vocational School and Specialty Construction Plan with Chinese Characteristics," contributing to vocational education cooperation between China and Morocco.
On the morning of June 16, the delegation visited the EMBASSY OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA IN THE KINGDOM OF MOROCCO, where Ambassador Li Changlin had a friendly exchange with the delegation. Ambassador Li appreciated Beijing Polytechnic for actively promoting Sino-Moroccan vocational education development. He highlighted education and training as crucial areas for future cooperation and encouraged further collaboration between Beijing Polytechnic and Moroccan universities.
Later, the delegation visited the Association of Chinese Enterprises in Morocco. The association expressed its desire for active cooperation with the college to cultivate the professional and versatile talents currently lacking in Chinese-funded enterprises, aligning with national development strategies.
In the afternoon of June 16, the delegation visited Ibn Ghazi Preparatory Class, Marrakech, engaging in positive discussions with the school's president and the head of the international department on industrial engineering, civil engineering, and other compatible disciplines. A Memorandum of Understanding was also signed during this visit.
This official visit not only showcased the educational standards and teaching capabilities of Chinese vocational education institutions to international partners but also allowed the delegation to gain insights into the latest developments in the international vocational education sector. The delegation established close ties and profound friendships with relevant government departments and partners in Morocco. The Association looks forward to continuing to promote international education cooperation between Chinese and North Africa institutions with professionalism and enthusiasm. They aim to expand sustainable development projects in the education sector, strengthen collaboration and exchange with international institutions, and contribute to enhancing the international influence of partner institutions, thus advancing Chinese education on the global stage.
