Offical visit by SNAEIA and Domestic Partner Institutions Delegation to Morocco and Tunisia

Through the platform and coordination efforts of the Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association, at the invitation of the Mundiapolis University, the Monastir University, and the EPI Educational Group, Ms. Zhao Yuling, Deputy Secretary-General of the Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association, led a delegation from Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Polytechnic and Jiangsu Food & Pharmaceutical Science College to visit Morocco and Tunisia from April 29 to May 6, 2024, achieving a successful visit.

In Morocco, the delegations from both institutions first visited the The Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion of the Kingdom of Morocco. (OFPPT) . The leaders of the institutions introduced their schools' educational characteristics, talent cultivation, scientific research, social services, cultural heritage innovation, and international exchange cooperation. They discussed and communicated with the leaders of OFPPT on mutually interesting cooperative projects and models, such as joint construction of curriculum standards, vocational skills and qualification training certification, practical base construction, school-enterprise cooperation, teacher-student exchange, and two-way study abroad, internship, and employment.

At the Mundiapolis University, the delegations were warmly received by the university president, Professor Mohammad Barkaoui, and other leaders of relevant departments. During the talks, substantive discussions were held on international cooperation projects in business management, intelligent manufacturing, nursing, computer science and technology, and art design between the Mundiapolis University and the two institutions, reaching a consensus on the start time of the projects. Leaders from both Chinese and Moroccan institutions expressed a desire to actively explore education models and cooperation mechanisms that are in line with international standards, carry out pragmatic cooperation, and jointly cultivate high-quality talents with a more international perspective.

During the visit to the Monastir University and the EPI Educational Group, the president of the Monastir University, Professor Hedi Belhadjsalah, and the president of the EPI Educational Group, Professor Mahdi Mejri, warmly welcomed the delegations from both institutions. The Monastir University and Jiangsu Food & Pharmaceutical Science College held a unveiling ceremony for Chinese Language Learning & Test Center. At the same time, the delegations held discussions with teaching and administrative staff at both institutions regarding international educational cooperation and the joint construction of a "Chinese Language Learning & Test Center" based on their respective strengths and distinctive specialties.

During the visit, the delegations also participated in the "Morocco, Tunisia International Education Exhibition". On the first day of the exhibition, the venue was extremely popular, with a continuous stream of students coming to consult at the booths of the two institutions. The purpose of the education exhibition is, on the one hand, to expand the recruitment of international students, who are the best envoys for promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding between our country and countries along the "Belt and Road"; on the other hand, through the education exhibition, to strengthen Sino-foreign educational cooperation and exchange, which is also an effective way to enhance cultural confidence and disseminate the country's soft power.
