In the afternoon of March 12th, Chen Lu, Secretary-General of the Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association, and Li Ke, Project Director, were invited to visit Chengde College of Applied Technology, and were warmly welcomed by the Vice President Zhang Xinqi and other school leaders, relevant departments, and teachers and students.
Accompanied by Zhang Xinqi and others, the delegation form SNAEIA inspected the Intelligent Manufacturing Department, the Electronic and Communication Engineering Departments, and the Jin Cheng Art Design College's training laboratories, and received briefings of these three departments, on the distinctive specialties, faculty qualifications, teaching and research, school-enterprise cooperation, training facility development, enrollment, and employment situations.
Mr. Ji Hongkui, Director of the Intelligent Manufacturing Department, led the tour of the training workshops.
Mr. Ni Peng, a specialized course instructor from the Electronic and Communication Engineering Department, led the tour of the training classrooms.
Ms. Zhang Na, Dean of the Jin Cheng Art College, led the tour of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Master Studio.
Throughout the official visit, Chen Lu expressed high recognition for Chengde College of Applied Technology's continuous innovation in driving local industrial revolution and cultivating high-level skilled talents to serve society effectively, highlighting a strong sense of mission in fulfilling the functions of higher education institutions.
During the official discussions, the Vice President Zhang Xinqi expressed his warm welcome to Chen Lu's delegation and extended his gratitude for the Association's support. After introducing the college's development history, achievements since its foundation, as well as international cooperation needs and prospects, the Vice President Zhang emphasized the responsibility and obligation of vocational schools as talent incubators to promote high-quality development under the "Belt and Road" initiative. He emphasized the importance of deepening collaboration with North African countries at the enterprise level, innovating reforms to adapt to internationalization in vocational education, and expanding educational spaces while serving national strategies. He hoped for mutual exploration and resolution of challenges in international cooperation, starting with feasible projects to jointly build an "Belt and Road" education cooperation community.
During the discussions, Chen Lu introduced the background, capabilities, and successful cooperation projects of the Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association. She welcomed Chengde College of Applied Technology to join the Association, to share high-quality resources and deepen collaboration. Given the growing economic ties between China and North African countries, and the significant international influence of Chinese companies in North Africa, there is a need for skilled professionals proficient in technology, operations, and teaching abilities to be introduced to North African countries, aligning with Chinese vocational education standards. Chen Lu expressed willingness to create a high-quality, pragmatic cooperation platform for the college, North African universities, and Chinese companies, promoting mutual learning, cooperation, and win-win outcomes, gradually achieving goals such as establishing overseas campuses and "Chinese+ Vocational Skills" Training Plan through accumulated cooperation experiences.
Both parties reached a consensus on establishing a school-enterprise cooperation liaison mechanism, building a friendly cooperation platform within the Association, initiating specific work processes and timelines for relevant cooperation projects.
