Chen Lu, Secretary-General of the Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association, led a delegation to visit Egypt

Chen Lu, Secretary-General of the Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association, was invited to lead a delegation to visit Egypt from August 2nd to August 8th. During this period, she visited the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Egypt and the Ministry of Education and Technical Education in Egypt. She also conducted visits, research, and inspections at East Port Said University of Technology, Thebes Technological University, New Cairo Technological University, Benha University, Delta Technological University, and the New Assiut Technological University to promote cooperation and enhance friendship.

During the official duties, Professor AHMED MONEEB ELSABBAGH, the Consultant of Technical Education for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Egypt, Professor Ayman Bahaa, the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, and Professor Amr Bosila, the Director of the Technical Education Department of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, all expressed that in recent years, the cooperation in the field of education between the two countries has been continuously deepening. The educational exchange cooperation has achieved fruitful results, and significant progress has been made in the areas of school cooperation, vocational education, international talent cultivation, and academic scientific research cooperation. They welcomed and thanked Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association for their visit and supported project cooperation that is conducive to the construction and export of educational standards, resources, and equipment for the cultivation of international talents. Chen Lu stated that she was honored to be invited by the leaders of two ministries and relevant universities. In order to promote the international cooperation and development of education among universities in Sino-North Africa, the Association has successfully built multiple project cooperation platforms and achieved positive results. We help with school-enterprise cooperation, integration of industry and education, and common progress. We are grateful for and hope for the support of your country's educational authorities for our international cooperation in education with Egyptian universities, including Chinese-funded enterprises and other institutions in Egypt.

During the visit and inspection of the six universities mentioned above, Prof.Dr.Eng.Medhat Awad EL-Hadek, President of East Port Said University of Technology, Prof. Adel Zein-El-Dein Mohamed Mosa, President of Thebes Technological University, Prof. Tarek Abdelmalak, President of New Cairo Technological University, Prof. Nasser Elgizawy, President of Benha University, Dr Araby Keshk, President of Delta Technological University, and Prof.Dr Gamal Tag Abdel-Jaber, President of New Assiut Technological University, along with relevant deans and administrative staff from each university, warmly welcomed the delegation led by Chen Lu. Through in-depth communication and exchanges, both parties achieved their anticipated goals for collaboration. With East Port Said University of Technology and Thebes Technological University, a consensus was reached to sign a MOU for cooperation on establishing "Overseas Branches" in the field of Tourism Management, and a preliminary work schedule was outlined. Practical discussions were held with New Cairo Technological University, Benha University, Delta Technological University, and New Assiut Technological University regarding the establishment of "Overseas Branches" and collaboration on Chinese language education and teacher training programs in the fields of New Energy, Electrical Engineering and Automation, Mechanical Engineering and Automation, Computer Science and Technology, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology, Food Engineering Technology, and Pharmaceutical Engineering.

The delegation of Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association visited Egypt for the first time, aiming to enhance mutual understanding, establish friendly relations, build a project platform, and lay the foundation for future cooperation. The delegation's official visit, research, investigation, and negotiation were high-quality and efficient. The two sides reached a consensus that they would carry out project cooperation such as the construction and output of vocational education standards, resources and equipment standards for Chinese and Egyptian universities, and work together for the development of international cooperation in vocational education between China and Egypt.
