Offical Visit by the Delegation of OFPPT to Beijing Polytechnic College

On August 21, 2023, Secretary-General Chen Lu of the Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association, along with three regional directors from The Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion of the Kingdom of Morocco (OFPPT), visited Beijing Polytechnic College for an exchange visit.

In the afternoon of August 21, Secretary-General Chen Lu of the SNAEIA, accompanied by Mr. Abderrahim Mifdal, Mrs. Houda Ben Mazouz, and Mrs. Hala Bensaghir, three regional directors from the OFPPT, visited Beijing Polytechnic College. They were received by Vice President Zhou Yan, a standing committee member of the college's Party Committee, Ms. Meng Qing, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, Ms. Xie Lige, Deputy Director, and Mr. Gao Yuan from the International Office.

Vice President Zhou Yan warmly welcomed the delegation from the SNAEIA and OFPPT. She briefly introduced the school's educational situation and its current international exchange and cooperation initiatives. Vice President Zhou expressed that the college is committed to promoting comprehensive internationalization, combining the efforts of taking Chinese education abroad and bringing international education into China. She also expressed the hope for establishing friendly cooperative relations with the Association and OFPPT, actively engaging in cooperation in vocational skills training, and cultivating compound talents.

Secretary-General Chen Lu of SNAEIA stated that the Association is willing to provide a platform for high-quality and practical cooperation between the college and the Moroccan Ministry of Education and universities. She also expressed the hope that this exchange visit could strengthen connections and expand deeper, broader, and more extensive cooperation in various fields. The goal is to jointly cultivate high-level compound talents and deepen international education exchanges and cooperation between China and North African countries.

Mr. Abderrahim Mifdal, representing OFPPT, expressed gratitude for the warm reception at Beijing Polytechnic College and appreciated the school's achievements. He briefly introduced the basic situation of OFPPT and the current status of vocational education in the country. He expressed the desire to cooperate with the college on student joint training, vocational skills competitions, training for Moroccan company employees in China, short-term exchanges for Moroccan students in China, and teacher exchanges.

Mrs. Houda Ben Mazouz noted that the professional settings at Beijing Polytechnic College are very similar to those in Moroccan vocational schools. She sees extensive opportunities for cooperation and hopes to integrate the valuable experiences and advantages of both sides to achieve shared and mutually beneficial educational resource sharing.

Mrs. Hala Bensaghir believes that only through open cooperation and innovation can one adapt to the continuous changes of the times. She expressed the hope for strengthened comprehensive cooperation in the field of vocational education between China and Morocco, contributing to the advancement of vocational education in both countries.

This visit has strengthened the friendship and mutual trust between Beijing Polytechnic College, the Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association, and OFPPT. It has laid a solid foundation for future cooperation in various aspects. The SNAEIA will continue to uphold the principles of openness, inclusiveness, cooperation, respect, and mutual benefit, actively promoting the depth and breadth of international education cooperation between China and North African countries. It aims to be a strong bridge for communication and interaction between Chinese universities and the education departments and universities of North African countries.
