In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s important speech during the 15th BRICS Summit in August 2023, and to promote the implementation of the relevant instructions of the “Plan for China-Africa Cooperation on Talent Development”, under the guidance and support of the education authorities of African countries such as The Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Morocco, The Ministry of Vocational Training and Employment, Tunisia, The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Egypt, and The National Institute of Vocational Training and Education, Algeria, the Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association,SNAEIA,has joined hand in hand with 100 universities and colleges across the country to promote the implementation of the “Chinese + Vocational Skills” short-term training plan program in North African countries. The project aims to cultivate international talents, provide localized talent resources support for Chinese-funded enterprises, provide a support platform for domestic higher vocational colleges to carry out international cooperation in “Chinese + Vocational Skills”, promote China-Africa educational cooperation, cultural exchanges and people-to-people exchanges, and contribute to the joint construction of a China-Africa community with a shared future.
In 2024, Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association met expectations in promoting “Chinese + Vocational Skills” training. Through rigorous and careful planning and multi-party cooperation, the Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association has joined hand in hand with 15 domestic higher vocational colleges, successfully carried out 44 sessions of “Chinese + Vocational Skills” online training courses, attracting as many as 6,000 students from Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Vietnam and other countries and regions to actively participate. The training areas covered Chinese, Chinese culture, food processing, garden design, Chinese tea culture, tourism management, high-speed railways, chemical engineering and other industries, providing students from these countries with rich opportunities to improve their vocational skills and learn language and culture.
Shanghai Donghai Vocational & Technical College
Yu Ping, Vice President of Shanghai Donghai Vocational & Technical College, and Li Jing, teacher of the International Exchange Office, sent to Morocco to carry out Chinese culture and professional skills training, and brought wonderful training courses to teachers, students and extramural staff from five schools as IGMA SCHOOL Group, THE EFET GROUP, Group of French Schools of Technical Education, Hassan II University- Faculty of Sciences Ben M'sick, InfoDesign Sup School, The Professional Training Institute, Rabat. With professional Chinese teaching and Shanghai folk culture experience as the main line, it interspersed practical content such as cross-border e-commerce, craftsmanship and professional qualities, and received unanimous praise from the trainees.
Anhui Technical College of Industrial and Economy
Anhui Technical College of Industrial and Economy carried out teaching and training on three courses as “Chinese Festivals and Martial Arts Culture”, “Chinese Food Culture Journey” and “Chinese Culture and Tourism”, which attracted the active participation of more than 170 teachers and students from countries such as Morocco and South Africa, and opened a window for students from many countries to perceive Chinese culture.
Shanghai Urban Construction Vocational College
Shanghai Urban Construction Vocational College organized training on five courses, including “Data Analysis Application Case”, “Artificial Intelligence”, “Multimedia Art Design”, “Research on Ancient Chinese Ceramics and Manufacturing Technique”, and “Urban Renewal and Architectural Cultural Heritage Inheritance in Shanghai”. A total of 335 people from seven countries including Africa and Southeast Asia participated in the online learning. The course training received unanimous praise from overseas students.
Baotou Light Industry Vocational Technical College
Baotou Light Industry Vocational Technical College held the opening ceremony of the “Chinese + Vocational Skills” Côte d'Ivoire Overseas Training and the unveiling ceremony of the overseas bases. More than 50 participants, including Kouakou N’goran Jean Arnaud, deputy director of The Ministry of Technical Education, Vocational Training and Apprenticeships of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, Inspector General Francis N’Guessan and directors of three Ivorian schools, attended the training. Subsequently, six courses were trained, including “Frozen Beverage Production Technology”, “Fermented Milk Production Technology” and “Introduction to Liquid Milk Production Technology”.
Hunan Technical College of Railway High-Speed
Hunan Technical College of Railway High-Speed organized training on 13 courses including “Why China's High-speed Rail is so Fast”, “China's Bridges”, and “pplication of Robots” The course content not only covers the school’s special professional courses in the field of high-speed rail and rail transit, but also specially added rich Chinese culture courses, successfully attracting the active participation of more than 160 students from all over the world.
Quanzhou Vocational College of Economics and Business
Quanzhou Vocational College of Economics and Business adopts the form of online teaching in English. Teachers shared Quanzhou's cultural context, economic development and the overall trend of e-commerce development from multiple perspectives in four training sessions, namely “The Development of Quanzhou's Diverse Culture”, “Cross-border E-commerce - Infinite Business Opportunities Connecting the World” and “New Silk Road, New Economy”. The training attracted more than 300 students from many countries and regions including Morocco, Tunisia, Vietnam and other countries and regions to participate.
Changzhou Vocational Institute of Engineering
Changzhou Vocational Institute of Engineering successfully held three training courses, name as “Chemical Production Technology”, “Luanzhen Embroidery and Black Myth Wu Kong” and “Changzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Random Needle Embroidery Cultural Experience”, which brought a unique cultural exchange activity to 350 trainees from North African countries.
Shanghai Vocational College of Agriculture and Forestry
The training courses of Shanghai Vocational College of Agriculture and Forestry include three modules: “Garden Cultural Creation”, “Garden Design”, and “Landscape Architecture Design”, which are developed by the professional team of Landscape Design faculty in accordance with the international cultural foundation of North African countries and the profound cultural heritage of Chinese classical gardens, and strive to spread China’s gardening skills overseas.
Quanzhou Preschool Education College
Quanzhou Preschool Education College conducted three training sessions, including “
Chinese Tea Art”, “Discovering Chinese Cities as Seen by Ibn Baṭūṭah”, and “The 24 Solar Terms of China: A Global Intangible Cultural Heritage”, attracting more than 300 overseas college students from North African countries to participate.
Liaoning Jianzhu Vocational College
Liaoning Jianzhu Vocational College conducted training on “Tourism English”, “Guide Skills Training” and “Chinese Tea Art and Tea Culture” for teachers and students from more than 20 schools in North African countries such as Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco.
Hunan Traditional Chinese Medical College
Hunan Traditional Chinese Medical College and Benha National University in Egypt have joined hands to organize a series of “Chinese + Traditional Chinese Medicine Skills” training activities, such as “Moxibustion” and “Rehabilitation Assessment and Treatment of Shoulder Join” course training. They have carried out systematic and in-depth explanations and teaching on “Appropriate Technology of Traditional Chinese Medicine” to teachers and students of Benha National University, and started a cross-border journey of exploration of TCM cultural knowledge.
Jiangsu Food & Pharmaceutical Science College
Jiangsu Food & Pharmaceutical Science College conducted six training courses, including “Hello, Chinese”, “Chinese Seasons, Health and Food”, “The Development History and Modern Application of Functional Red Mold Rice”, “Research Progress of Functional Oligosaccharides in Food Industry”, “Research Progress and Application of Biological Control of Postharvest Diseases in Fruits and Vegetables”, and “Food Safety and Preventive Measures for Potential Hazards”. About 500 teachers and students from relevant majors from Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt and other countries signed up to participate in the training.

Hebei Construction Material Vocational and Technical College launched a training course on “Float Glass Production Technology”, attracting more than 100 students from North African countries to participate.
Inner Mongolia Technical College of Mechanics & Electrics
Inner Mongolia Technical College of Mechanics & Electrics conducted training courses in three sessions: “Power System Analysis”, “Hydraulic and Pneumatic Transmission”, and “Electrical Equipment” for nearly 100 students from colleges and universities in the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire.
Hainan College of Economics and Business
Hainan College of Economics and Business successfully held an online training course with the core theme of “Chinese + Vocational Skills”. The course content included “Tourism Service Etiquette”, “Tourism Real Estate”, “Tourism Marketing”, “Practical Chinese for Tourism-Accommodation”, etc.
