Located in North Africa,Tunisia is one of the countries participating in the “Belt and Road” initiative.” Since the 2018 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, educational cooperation and cultural exchanges between China and Tunisia have flourished. The "China-Tunisia Cultural Exchange Ambassador Program", supported by the Monastir Provincial Government and the University of Monastir in Tunisia and organized by Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association, SNAEIA) has been successfully held for several consecutive sessions. It has attracted the active participation of faculty and students from dozens of Chinese universities and has contributed meaningfully to the implementation of the "Future Africa Plan".
On January 25, taken by SNAEIA, the delegation composed of teachers and students from multiple domestic colleges and universities have a nine-day visit to Tunisia as part of the Belt and Road International Young Talents: Charming North-Africa "China-Tunisia" Cultural Exchange Ambassador Program. The delegation explore Tunisia from multiple perspectives and strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two countries through the youth’s exchange

This year marks the 62nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Tunisia. With a shared vision of “Journey to Africa, Experience Tunisia,” the delegation departed with sincere aspirations to further promote people-to-people exchanges and deepen bilateral friendship. Students expressed strong enthusiasm for the cross-cultural journey and stated unanimously to serve as youth ambassadors. They reaffirmed their commitment to the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits under the Belt and Road Initiative, embodying the spirit of contemporary Chinese youth characterized by the peace, friendship, mutual learning, openness and inclusiveness.
During the visit, the delegation will immersive experience the rich historical heritage, diverse cultural landscape, and education system of Tunisia as well as conduct interactive exchanges in-depth and all-round through a variety of activities, including cultural experiences, thematic forums and public welfare projects. This program is uniquely designed to build a platform for face-to-face communication, cross-cultural understanding and friendship between Chinese and African youth, while also fostering international leadership skills among the younger generation.
