On October 23, the landmark event, “Overseas Chinese Facilitating Global Trade”, the 2025 Overseas Chinese-Driven Global Expansion Initiative for Thousands of Enterprises and Products and Trade Development Promotion was grandly held in Yiwu, Zhejiang.
The event was jointly organized by the Zhejiang Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the People's Government of Jinhua City, and the China Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs, co-hosted by the Yiwu Municipal People’s Government, Jinhua Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Jinhua Municipal Commerce Bureau, Jinhua Council for Promotion the of International Trade, and College of Economics and Management (Sino-Africa International Business School), Zhejiang Normal University.

Wang Rui, Deputy Secretary-General of SNAEIA, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Digital Trade Talent Development Cooperation between SNAEIA and the College of Economics and Management (Sino-Africa International Business School), Zhejiang Normal University at the “Belt and Road” Digital Trade Talent Development Cooperation signing ceremony held on the sidelines of the conference.

Wang Rui said, "Digital trade is not only a new engine powering global economic growth but also a critical lever for elevating China-Africa cooperation to the next level. SNAEIA is longing for working hand-in-hand with Zhejiang Normal University to build an open, collaborative and industry-education-integrated talent platform. We will actively invite universities and enterprises across China and North Africa to join forces, advance educational exchanges along the ‘Belt and Road’ Initiative, and cultivate the internationally minded, cross-culturally professionals who can combine their digital-trade expertise with solid business acumen."

In the future, both parties will collaborate under the articles of MOU to jointly establish the “Digital Trade Talent Development Center” co-develop modular cross-border e-commerce curricula, and implement initiatives including faculty exchanges, academic forums, and multilingual digital trade competitions which aim to enhance the comprehensive capabilities in the field of digital trade for the countries along the “Belt and Road”.
